Liminal is independent and is not affiliated with the Interactive Fiction Technology Foundation, IFDB, Borogove, or any other interactive fiction organization unless explicitly stated in writing.
1. Service Availability
We may modify, suspend, or terminate any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable for interruptions, feature removals, or platform changes.
2. Acceptable Use
The primary purpose of Liminal is hosting and distributing interactive fiction games. We may remove uploads or accounts that are unrelated to this purpose or otherwise violate these terms.
You may not use the Service to publish or distribute:
- Content that is unlawful, fraudulent, misleading, or discriminatory.
- Spam, abusive promotions, or disruptive repetitive content.
- Hate speech, harassment, threats, or content promoting violence.
- Impersonation of people, organizations, or brands.
- Copyrighted material without permission or another valid legal basis.
- Hacking, phishing, malware, or other malicious technical behavior.
- Attempts to manipulate or misrepresent site interfaces, metrics, or platform behavior.
3. Rights and Content Ownership
We claim no ownership rights over content you upload. You retain your rights in your work. You may not claim endorsement by Liminal or Reso Works without a separate written agreement.
By publishing content on Liminal, you grant any visitor the right to view and play that content free of charge through the platform.
We will not sell your content or authorize third parties to sell your content without your written consent.
4. Payments and Monetization
Paid publishing and monetization are future features. At this time, all content on Liminal is free to access through the Service.
5. Warranty and Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Reso Works disclaims liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service.
